AWSA Revitalization Efforts
Membership renewals are now taking place. Last years members as well
as removed past members have been contacted to send in their dues with the
suspension of the application step. New web page and newsletter content
coming soon!

2021 AWSA Nationals -- CANCELLED DUE TO COVID
The 2021 AWSA Nationals will be hosted by Shannon Seeger in Michigan in the fall.

2020 AWSA Nationals - - -
This years Nationals is being cancelled due to the high probability
of the Canadian border remaining closed, and to keep our members safe.
Save the date for next years on your calendars now for October 2nd and 3rd, 2021.
Details to follow at a later date.
YAHOO CHAT CHANGING -- No more message board chats
Per YAHOO:
BEGINNING OCTOBER 28, 2019:
**Users will be able to join a Yahoo Group only through an invite from the Group Moderator or by submitting a request to join a Group, which requires approval by the Group Moderator.
**Since we are moving Group communication from posting on message boards to email distribution, uploading and hosting of new content will also be disabled on the Yahoo Groups website

NOMINATIONS CLOSED FOR 2017 - SEPTEMBER 1, 2017:
No objections were voiced and as a result, per our bylaws allowing a single slate, all nominees will begin their (new) term as of the end of the business meeting on Oct 7th.
Nominees/Candidates are: Cindy Goss as Vice President, Patrick Thomas as Secretary and Denise Tolliver as North Central Region
NEW BOARD APPOINTED POSITIONS - Jun5, 2017:

**ELECTIONS 2017 - AWSA is seeking any additional nominations for the positions of
Secretary and Vice President. We currently have a full slate (one for each position) but
want to give the opportunity for any others to add their name as a nominee!
NOMINATIONS CLOSE - July 31st, 2017
NOMINEE REPORT will be provided within 10 days of the close. As of August 10th,
the membership will have 10 days to present any objections with valid proof of why
the person should not hold the position.
NOMINATION PROCESS CLOSES as of midnight on August 20th, 2017
