AWSA's Junior Handler's

By: Taylor Phillips

Hi, I am Taylor Phillips. I am currently 12 years old and live in Ohio. I have one dog and he is a boxer. I also have two little sisters. I have been showing for about 2 years now. I first stared showing to help people out, but then got the experience to be in a UKC juniors event. I placed 2ND for the first time ever doing it. As shows passed, I found myself with more and more wins. Last year I found out that I was going to be in the invitational Show for juniors, for UKC.  I placed third in my region. Even though I did not win anything, I was still proud. Several months ago I started doing AKC shows with my boxer. The competition is tough, but I still keep trying. Being a junior can be hard because you should know most of the body parts of your dog. One of my funniest monuments in the ring was when I was showing a dog and the dog went one way around the pole and I went the other (boy was that embarrassing).  My happiest moment was when I was showing Starr Hallmark Hemi Supercharger in the breed ring for group and while I was trying to stack him, I looked up and saw the judge handing me Group One. The main reason I do dog shows is to be with my grandma. If you want to know more about me feel free to ask. Now you know a little about me.

Me and puppy Jack!!! Me getting that ribbon.
