Splash!

Is this a relay race?

Nah! It's just more fun in a group! Kyra, Hugo, Polo, and Luna enjoy a day of fun in Judy Huston's pond.

Scroll on down to see more pictures of these dogs and others at play, but watch out, you could get wet!

Above, Judy and her sheltie Callie watch as Hugo plunges into the water. But what happened? In the photo on the right, Abby (the golden) has taken over the boat! But who's complaining? Certainly not Callie, Kyra and Polo because swimming is much more fun than trying to stand up in a little rowboat! (Hugo and Polo belongs to Diana Updike.)

Becky Joyce's dog, Star, goes for a dip, too. On the left she's the one swimmng, and on the right she looks like she might be contemplating taking a shower under the fountain!

Then one day Doug Wynn brings Samson and Lila to play with Kyra. In the photo on the left, we see Samson, Kyra, and Lila. Can't tell what Kyra has in her mouth, but Lila would like one, too. On the right, Kyra takes the lead while Samson follows and Callie watches.

And like all good White Shepherds, Lila (left) just shakes it off. Thanks, Lila, we needed that!

Below Becky Joyce's Luna learned to "swim" at a tender age!

When he can't go play in Kyra's pond, Samson (left) relaxes in his pool.

Now let's travel south to Texas and see what those dogs do to cool off!

Well, what do you know? Swimming is popular in Texas, too! This is Komet and Haley who are Chris Eggenberger's constant companions. Haley is retrieving a plastic tire, once a flotation toy for children, but now riddled with holes about the size of Haley's teeth! (Hum, wonder how that happened?) By the time she got the tire to shore it was almost completely full of water and had become very heavy. Good girl, Haley! You rescued the poor thing!
